Our Mission
The Mission of the Lufkin Community Band is twofold and are listed in order of importance and priority.
As an all-volunteer, non-audition organization, we are an ensemble with diverse ages, talents and professions of brass, woodwind, and percussion instrumentation. Our concerts include a variety of music including marches, overtures, orchestral transcriptions, and traditional band pieces.
- To provide a place for instrumentalists to play in a fun and challenging ensemble.
- To provide good music in the form of concerts to the communities we serve.
